Copenhagen Megagames

We are a hobby organisation which organise Megagames in Copenhagen. We aim to have around 2 events a year and everything is run by volunteers. Our games are held in English though danish can of course be used when communicating with the other players. 

What is a Megagame?

Imagine a really large boardgame. You will each be assigned a role from the scenario and receive relevant background material on the scenario, and what your responsibility is, e.g. Diplomat, General, President etc. Each role has a critical part to play in the scenario.

You will often be part of a team of individuals with similar interests, with whom you can collaborate. Other teams will have opposing interests, and you will need to negotiate to try to reach a compromise or find subtle ways to undermine them and advance your team's own agenda.

As a participant, you will need to move around the room, discuss with other participants and perform actions to achieve your role's objectives.

There will always be support available for you to have a great time, either via your teammates or the organizing group, as our goal is to ensure that everyone has a great time.

The organizing group will help facilitate the discussion game by setting up rules and, for example, representing actors that are not represented by a participant.
